Another day......

another dollar!

Can't believe it's the start of another week.

I had a good weekend, spending some time down at Weymouth with my brother, Nick. But of course that had to be counter-balanced by feelings of guilt and inadequacy following an argument with my DD!

Anyhoo here are my catch up pages for LSNED.

Monday, Monday.....

Nothing much happening today....went around to see Mum & Dad for lunch after work.

I've done my LSNED and am glad that I seem to be keeping up Ok with this project........so far!

Where's the weekend gone?!?

Not much to tell today, I'm trying to catch up with one or two chores that haven't been done in ages and also change my wardrobe over from summer to winter and throw out some bits and give some to charity.

I've done by LSNED LO for day 5 about the bloomin' weir-rabbit!

Back to work tomorrow but thank goodness I'm back to part-time now!

Sore Saturday....

Forgot to put the bunny away while is was light yesterday so had to chase it around the garden in the dark with a torch which resulted in me getting bitten by the bl**dy thing! Someone else can put it away tonight!

The reason I forgot to do it when I should have is because the son-in-law of the lady from the accident turned up at my door with some flowers for me - what a lovely, kind gesture.


Pages 3 & 4 for the LSNED project. Day three was about discovering that I hadn't turned over my perpetual calendar for days and days and was still in August! Day four was about my general hatred of planning menus, shopping, unpacking it all etc. Anyway I managed to get around Sainsburys and back home within an hour by just focusing on what I need and sticking to the shopping list! Woo hoo!!

Turbulent Thursday.....

Phew......seems to be a quieter evening here TG! Last night a car mounted our driveway, knocked down our drainpipe and then reversed into some bushes. The driver then tried to get out of the car and collapsed on the road. It's a good job Megz happened to be at her bedroom window and saw what happened....she shouted down to me and I went to investigate. Found an elderly lady on the floor, called for an ambulance and stayed with her until they arrived along with two cop cars as well!!





Here are the first two pages for my Learn Something New Every Day project.....quite pleased with them but hoping to improve as I go along. May even try some digital pages too as we go along.

I'm having one of those 'don't seem to be enough hours in the day phases at the moment but must try not to stress over it and just catch up as and when I can.

Wet Wednesday....

Only worked 'til 2pm today and then the temp took over....woo hoo!! Not doing anymore overtime unless I really, really have to.....it eats into my scrappin' time too much! LOL

Day two of Learn Something New Every Day and I haven't had time to stop and think about it properly yet and won't tonight either as I'm going to the cinema with Megz, we're going to see Ugly Truth.

It's wet and cold here today so I think Autumn is truly setting in early. I'm glad we've booked a few days in Spain in October - might get to see a bit more sun then!

Busy, busy, busy.....

Wow, that Bank Holiday weekend went fast. Can't believe it's back to work tomorrow and working all day too....ugh!

Saturday was spent running around various shops in town to get Megan some bedding, curtain poles, curtains etc. for her newly decorated room. We also had to visit the pet shop as we have a new addition to the family....a rescue rabbit, who Megan has named Jeff Jefferson!?! Don't ask!

Sunday we had a family get together are first in years. As the kids get older it is harder to get them all together in the same place at the same time. We went to The Crown at Broad Hinton and had a lovely lunch and then went back to Mum and Dad's for some photos (of course).

It was good to get together and catch up and hope we can do it again next year when Christopher and Helen come over.

It's been awhile....

Ok, ok, I've let it slip again but I will try harder.....I promise.

Since I last posted I have been to Spain to see my dear friends Sue & Bernie which was wonderful....it was good to see a bit of sun too. Megan and I tried to get in to see the Banksy Exhibition in Bristol last Saturday.....ha ha! The queue was 5 hours long when we arrived at 9am, there was no way I was gonna stand in a queue for that long so we went shopping instead.

I've just signed up for a Shimelle class and am looking forward to starting Learn Something New Every Day on the 1st September.

Tragedy!!

News headlines in the 'local rag' tonight are Local bookshop, Borders is set to close'! Nooooo! It's my favourite book/mag shop and I will go well out of my way to visit. They are supposedly opening up a New Look shop there instead.......oh my God!! We sooo don't need another skanky clothes shop! I've signed the online petition but don't suppose it will do any good now.

Wednesday warblings....

It's sooooooo hot at the moment but we mustn't complain otherwise the sun will go away and never shine again! With the aid of a fan and a 'Chillow' I'm able to sleep fairly well though the night and going to the cinema in the afternoon is nice!

I'm going to see My Sister's Keeper with Sharon this afternoon.......hope I'm not disappointed as the book was really good.

Rhys started work on Monday..........so it's his 3rd day now and he's still going! He doesn't feel to good most of the time and I don't know if it's the heat, the fact that he doesn't eat properly or drugs!! He better stick with it though.

Megan is pissed off at her job too and is looking for something else - I must give her a hand with her search 'cos she's getting very down in the dumps again.
