Catching up.....

Took some more photos today to catch up with the Photo prompt challenge thingy on UKS. Also managed to do some scrapping tonight but it's still drying so will upload tomorrow.

Went to the 'flicks' yesterday to see The Other Boelyn Girl.....it was really good and makes me want to learn more about that period of history. I do love a good period drama!

Also got an invite to my brother's 50th in April....must remember to make an acceptance card.

Stormy....

WOW that was one hell of a stormy night. I awoke at 2am and didn't sleep properly again! Thought we were going to loose the fencing at least but was surprised to see we didn't fair too badly at all. Carried on raining on and off all day....it was dismal.

Work was manic today but luckily I left at 3pm, which is bit better than working all day.

My Craft Robo arrived today which I have bought from someone on UKS.....I'm well pleased with my new toy and have already had a play. I need to find out all it can do instead of just cutting titles though. One step at a time.

I've had a great 'catch up' tonight and have done my E for my Art Journal and two more of my 'art cards' as well.

Can't believe it's only two months until Scrapajack Retreat....that has come around really fast. I better get my butt in gear and start organising myself.

I also need to organise getting the dining room painted before Easter Sunday!?!?!

Sunny Sunday....

Oh well, falling behind again but then it's not a competition so I'm not gonna sweat it!

I've joined a new project on UKS ~ Photo Scavenger Hunt! Not too intense so should be able to keep up (she says confidently!). Three photos a week from prompts by Mandy. Here's one I've done for my 'catch-ups'....the prompt was 'clear'.

Been working full-time for the past three weeks ~ can't say I'm enjoying it just hope it will be worth it when I see my pay packet! I've told them I'm only going to work 'til 3pm every day and then will give me a chance to get some housework/chores done as well. I hate having to do everything at the weekend!

Megan went for an interview on Thursday and got offered the job on Friday so that's good news for her and us. It's in an office this time instead of retail ~ so she'll be working 'normal' hours no bank holidays, no weekends. Mind you her first 3 or 4 pay packets are ours!!! She owes us that much money!!

Hoping to get to the flicks this week to see The Other Boelyn Girl ~ the book was very good, hope they haven't ruined it. Also looking good is Vantage Point, might drag DH along to that one.

27th February......

And I haven't posted on here in ages again!!!

Well, life goes on with all it's ups and downs.......

We're still trying to re-mortgage but it takes forever.
Adrian's still waiting to hear back about compensation for his accident but it takes forever.
Megan is in BIG trouble at work which may or may not be resolved this week.

I've started an 'Art Journal'.........dunno why just wanted to and 'cos I have time on my hands at work to 'play' when no-one's looking.

Going to the Scrapaholics Roadshow this Saturday and doing a couple of classes so looking forward to that. Just ordered another American Crafts D ring album for my scrappin' 'cos they are just soooo convenient instead of 'faffing' about with screws or straps! Must stop buying though or 'im indoors will have a hissy fit.

A lovely sunny Saturday, managed to do loads!


Had to catch up with housework and shopping after having worked full-time all week but only did the bear minimum (it's such a waste of time!).


Managed to do a bit of scrappin' as well and have done my D entry for my A-Z journal of me. D is for Dedicated.....


I used an old sepia photo downloaded from t'internet.

Also managed to do my badge for the Scrapajack retreat in May (but that's under wraps for now!)

Wednesday whimsy......

Working full-time all this week - boo hoo!

Gorgeous weather all week so far.........cold but bright and sunny.

Nothing much to report really, just wanted to update. A week today I'll be in London with Mum visiting the Terracotta Warriors!

Sunny Sunday.....

What a glorious weekend it's been! Makes me happy all over.

It was the Swindon Scrapaholics crop yesterday morning which I went along to but didn't manage to get much done at thanks to that naughty Jakki from ScrapaJack! We had a good old chat about this, that and everything and managed to put the world to rights. Although I started this LO at the crop I had to finish it when I got home later.

Wasn't too sure about it at first but it's grown on me now. It's my entry for this month's house challenge on UKS.

This morning I spent a couple of hours out in the sunshine taking photos and then went to visit Ma & Pa who are both well and loving this better weather. This afternoon I'm cooking beef in Guinness for tea and watching the rugby. Then tonight it's one of my fav progs - Lark Rise to Camdleford and then it's the BAFTA awards with Jonathan Woss!

Thank goodness mine are old enough to do their own pancakes if the want them - I never did enjoy making pancackes (enjoy eating them though!)

Cross-stitch....

Here is my finished cross-stitch - all washed and pressed. I started this piece a year ago or more but went off cross-stitching and put it all up the attic. Just the passed couple of weeks I decided to get some of it back down and finished off this lovely design and I'm pleased I did.

It's a Long Dog Sampler design called St Georges.

We're all off out tonight for a meal for my birthday, don't know where though!

Had a lovely lunch with my DD at Los Gatos in Old Town (tapas bar). Lovely cards and a pressie from the 'girls' at work - Blade Runner. Gorgeous flowers and a book from DD too. DH had already given me money which I had spent at 'The Make It Show' a couple of weeks ago.

The next prompt in the 'Overlooked' blog is 'Collections'. So here are a couple of photos of my meagre collections - my Troll Beads and my 3 Momiji dolls.
